Covering various economical aspects of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the occasion of the Panchayati Raj Day celebrated annually on 24th April and the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and MyGov provide a strong source of inspiration to all citizens of this country inviting their ideas that could support the MSMEs and Cottage Industry in Rural India through the Panchayati Raj System.

A streamlined governance, especially at the local level benefits the nation as a whole. India is a signatory to the UN 2030 Agenda to achieve inclusive and people-centric sustainable development through the 17 SDGs. Thus, with greater cooperation from the citizens of India, efforts of the Government of India and the local bodies towards a qualitative and quantitative transformation of the rural economy, the celebration of the Panchayati Raj Day would be fulfilled.

Therefore, we value your ideas and suggestions that could strengthen the Panchayati Raj System of the country in playing an instrumental role in the rural economy of India.

Last day for submission is 30th April, 2022.

The goal of getting more export business for MSME & Cottage industries Should get a countrywide recognition by way of TV & newspaper advertisements. This will give a high morale to the participants. Every state should make a team of qualified professionals & industries who can grab profitable products for supply to that country's taste taking extreme care in giving quality products at affordable prices based on their currency. The team should have proper credentials and needs to be screened & prepared for the project. Govt should understand the potential for products by talking to their embassies in India. To avoid any gaps of requirements to supply & support which is the most important factor in the present world. Expecting high returns from every export order is not wise as we need to devlop long term business to balance imports to exports ratios. These ratios will decide countries currency exchange rates. Development of export business needs tender care like bringing up a child.

Interaction of farmers with the Agricultural scientists and experts to grow local crops using local knowledge, techniques and materials should be encouraged more. Also research advancement in the same from other countries should be implemented. For example cashew nut, areca nut, coconut, etc. are major crops in the coastal region. New improved methods for better yield from the same should be communicated to the farmers periodically. Village/Zilla panchayat administration should facilitate this activity more. Knowledge in digital media (TVs, exhibit boards, etc.) should be encouraged more. The above mentioned points holds good for MSMEs and cottage industries also. A wing of Centre for Appropriate Rural Technology could be established in each village panchayat or group of similar village panchayats so that technical/advanced information is available to the entrepreneurs/owners of the industries for continuous improvement in the output of their industries.
