India has the largest Youth population in the world. This demographic dividend, in the light of its impact on work participation and dependency ratios, is a window of opportunity in terms of the growth and development of our country, an opportunity which would need to be seized before the window closes.

To optimally tap the constructive and creative energies of the youth, the Department of Youth Affairs pursues the twin objectives of personality-building and nation-building, that is, developing the personalities of youth and involving them in various nation-building activities.

Young people's training, education, and skills are among our society's most valuable resources, and they are inextricably linked to dealing with the complex problems of the future. Exceptionally skilled youth have a profound impact on the economy and society of a country and change the way we work, communicate; engage in developmental and social activities. They also drive innovation in many different spheres of life.

No wonder there is a very strong correlation between education & skills and innovation & invention and thereby development in various spheres of life. To achieve this, the focus needs to be directed toward the recognition and promotion of children's creativity, with the aim of a continuous strengthening and development among youth and adolescents.

The Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India is hosting a discussion/invite suggestions on MyGov for a period of one month with the youth (15-29 years) of the country having exceptional skills of invention and innovation. The received inputs will be reviewed by the relevant Ministry/Department, and the entries will be shortlisted. The youth, whose entries have been shortlisted, may be asked to provide a detailed presentation of their ideas in a national-level workshop, either physically or virtually.

Introduce Inspiring Innovators: Kids learn through examples. Make sure to introduce them to inspiring innovators with whom they can relate. For instance- play a TED talk video once in a while. This will make encourage them to be creative as the person on the show.

Practice hands-on learning: Theory teaching is fine but students also need hands-on learning. Sticking to a textbook won’t develop their creativity. They will flourish more in hands-on learning activities. This will help them get the first-hand experience, resulting in innovative thinking.

Encourage Questions: Do not discourage students from questioning things. Encourage questions so they do not lose touch of their creativity. They should be allowed to think differently. The more they ask, the more they learn. Their curiosity will be satisfied when they find the answers themselves.

Support Collaboration: Innovators are known for sharing ideas and designs. People do not thrive individually. Usually, they have a backing of their team. Likewise, support collaboration in classes. Allow students to discuss ideas and concepts. This will help enhance their ideas through other inputs.

Encourage students by discussing some of the invention convention ideas for school projects that students have created in the past. A teacher has a deep impact on their students. What they teach stays with them for a lifetime. Moreover, they have a major role in shaping the child’s thought process. Teachers should make the most of this privilege.

e somewhat learnt the way of mind reading and they can read each and every thought of mine and also they are executing it in the most disgusting manner one could ever imagine.  They can create negativity in any of the tasks I do. All of my daily activities they are ruining in a horrible way and torturing me like hell which is unexplainable. Each and every action of life physically and mentally they are controlling in a negative manner, I am not able to perform any of the tasks. All this is demotivating me towards my life only. They are monitoring me completely. I really need justice regarding this. I really need help as they can even kill me. My life is in danger and I really seek help in this regard. Its very urgent. I am looking forward  for your help. Every fraction of second counts here as it is crucial.

I am not a youth of the desired age group, but I feel youth have immense potential and with the youth population we have, if their energy is channelised we could again become the world leader soon. I have many ideas with my experience of around 2 decades and my journey to many parts of India and World. I would be happy to Mentor the youth and help channelised their energy and potential in the right direction.
