Mentoring is a very Noble Idea and Far fetched dream. Mentoring is not necessarily restricted to education as we commonly think.
But learned and established personalities in various fields can play a lead role in this by mentoring younger generations in their field and developing their replicas who can take the nation forward.
Rising above the need for monetory compensation such eminent personalities can take mentoring as their moral responsibility for Society and Nation.

Mentoring is a good intervention in any organisation. The success of mentoring activity depends on willingness to change, otherwise it may not yield good results. The present system is not in a position to go with mentoring unless you make systemic changes in our organization structure. Capable people are not joining in system and we may not create great society with substandard or less motivated or non- curious employees. Finding suitable mentors at all levels is also great task. Hope for best.

India has hidden gems in form of humans, but they are need to be recognized and for that mentor is must. A quality mentor can turn this gems to diamond. So a mentor in any form is must.

Namaskar,
Looking back at the pandemic impact on education, one observation I made is the home education. Home education is not new. In the world, I know some countries allow home education and then appear for board examination directly. It appears to me this not popular in our country. My suggestion:
1. We should have certification for home tutors (renewable peridocially) by concerned state board such as Board of secondary education or board of intermediate that enables them to mentor...

Mentoring is a time-proven strategy that can help
young people of all circumstances achieve their potential. Mentors are caring individuals who, along with
parents or guardians, provide young people with support, counsel, friendship, reinforcement and a constructive example.
But mentoring is not a one-size-fits-all proposition.
Every young person who would benefit from a mentoring relationship has individual needs.
