just like other clean country we should also have heavy fine for throwing any garbage on road or in Public area(Temple, Historical place, Beaches, etc) and these rules should be Followed strictly and the Money which will come through this should be devoted to Beautification of India

E- tendering should be made mandatory for all tenders above Rs 5 Lacs. This will help save lot of money spent on printing and time. Also it will help reduce malpractices in the tender, thereby making it foolproof, resulting in government paying the correct costs for the projects.

There is large amount of money in markets which is transferred through angadia or hawala processes. For all this money to go to the bank, government should prohibite all cash transactions over Rs, 10000. This will not impact small street sellers and all big payments will go through bank. This will transform the economy and banks will get financially stronger generating more credit. Believe me, this can be done. So no cash payments over Rs. 10000. Only card/cheque or bank transfers allowed.

Air India's Assets should be sold out and the airline should only operate on essential connectivity routes like Ladakh, North East & Offshore Islands. This will cut billions of losses. I dont see any point in Government making losses just to fly people. Instead that money should be used in public good programmes.

While expenditure can be better managed by taking policy decisions, several administrative measures can also help to reduce expenditure. One way is to have more control on advertisement expenditure. Advertisements need be given in the internet mode, while only a reference need be published in News papers. Publishing the achievements of the Government should be restricted to quarter pages.

GoI is spending about Rs 8000 to 9000 crore every year for the Union Territories (Annual Report of GoI 2013-14). The relevance and reasons for keeping UTs in that category is not known, but certainly at least some of the UTs can be merged with the adjoining States. This could substantially reduce the administrative cost of the Government. The Govt should also show some will power to implement certain decisions.

The postal department was doing an essential service till a few years ago,but not any more.The internet and private carriers do the job more effectively.Instead of trying to use the infrastructure created by finding out new areas,GoI should think of disposing the assets and pay off the accumulated debts and save the huge commitment towards interest every year.The employees of postal services can be given a golden shake hand or engaged in some other department where there is staff shortage.
