The outbreak of the global pandemic COVID -19 presents a challenging time for everyone around the world. Not only is this pandemic a serious medical concern, but it also brings mixed emotions and psycho-social stressors for all. There are emerging mental health concerns with specific focus on Children, Adolescents and Youth as they more vulnerable to heightened level of stress, anxiety and fearfulness, along with a range of other emotional and behavioral issues. COVID-19 has also brought new stressors on Teachers and Parents hampering their capacity to provide positive support to their wards. While it is important to focus on continuing education on the academic front, we must give equal importance to the mental health and well-being of the students.

Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims at mobilizing psycho-social support to help Children, Youth, Teachers and Parents country-wide in a comprehensive and multimodal manner during conditions like COVID-19 and after. For more information, please visit www.mhrd.gov.in/covid-19/

MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, hereby invites citizens to share ideas and inputs to combat the psycho-social stress on School & College Students, Teachers and Parents, caused due to COVID-19 pandemic. Selected comments may be featured on social media.

Last date of sending us your inputs is 21st August 2020

There should be clarity on the term "psycho social stress" each for school, college students, teachers and parents. As during COVID 19, the flow of energy has become restricted to oneself and technology has won the race which is going to be again a problem in future as our complete dependency on it can further turn out to be a cause of stressful life. Yoga, meditation, laughter therapy and Integrated practice of learning can be a solution for reducing psycho social stress.

"A healthy mind in a healthy body". When it comes to mental health, it is important to be physically healthy too. So children, who are future citizens, need to be given nutritious food. Parents must give right information to children regarding the pandemic and not create a sense of fear in young minds. Educational institutions and parents must realise that education is not limited to study from a textbook. Children can try new things at home with their parents Teachers must not burden a child

Read bhagwat geeta. Bhagwat geeta should be mandatory for all schools from 4th class to 10th class. It should be translated into a simple hindi language and then it should be taught, so that it becomes easy for the children to understand. Also it should taught as a Knowledgeful book instead of religious book.

When a child is born, he/she doesn’t know how the world will be, she cries but lives to meet an angel, Mom, who holds her hands & takes care of her and father, who teaches her to run with this world. Thinking this will give peace. Students can do self-study and teachers solve doubts online, But as per the schedule decided by the teacher This will prepare students for life lessons, after all one has to be on one’s own & Will truly develop skills in both students and teachers

teachers like me who presently do not have work can encourage students to have video conferencing having yoga practice during the evening share jokes share their thoughts of their daily life my mobile number is 7583940882. I would be happy to serve my country with payment. Government can pay me. both ends would meet.

The main reason for stress is our thoughts. When we stop thinking of something we feel relaxed. Just try doing this if you feel stress. Always engage in some or the other activity. Spend your time in fresh air this allow the good and positive thoughts into our mind. Try to make your choices in the right way. If a problem is irritating you just not it down on a paper and fix a time to think about it and then later tear it. This make you and your mind relaxed. Hope it helps....
