The outbreak of the global pandemic COVID -19 presents a challenging time for everyone around the world. Not only is this pandemic a serious medical concern, but it also brings mixed emotions and psycho-social stressors for all. There are emerging mental health concerns with specific focus on Children, Adolescents and Youth as they more vulnerable to heightened level of stress, anxiety and fearfulness, along with a range of other emotional and behavioral issues. COVID-19 has also brought new stressors on Teachers and Parents hampering their capacity to provide positive support to their wards. While it is important to focus on continuing education on the academic front, we must give equal importance to the mental health and well-being of the students.

Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims at mobilizing psycho-social support to help Children, Youth, Teachers and Parents country-wide in a comprehensive and multimodal manner during conditions like COVID-19 and after. For more information, please visit www.mhrd.gov.in/covid-19/

MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, hereby invites citizens to share ideas and inputs to combat the psycho-social stress on School & College Students, Teachers and Parents, caused due to COVID-19 pandemic. Selected comments may be featured on social media.

Last date of sending us your inputs is 21st August 2020

Sir! I am a student of Btech ( mechatronics). Sir we are giving vivas and practicals but how can we give vivas and practical when actually we are not perform any practical. Teachers are forcing students to prepare notes do assignment so student have to do that but there are just copying nd pasting the answer . this is only time wastin. It is better that they give one topic or one subject and provide some study material and said to students to prepare that topic as learn maximum.

Children need assistance from their parents. Parents have to be supportive to the to their children in activity and in nature. In these times they indeed have to put a special focus for children and give them emotional backup. Studies aren't everything, this is a very important to realize. If there is no stress on children and if parents be informative and supportive in these days, like not stressing them to watch online classes but just making them realize the situation, students-stressfree!

It is observed that several sq km. agricultural land purchased by the builder and developers all around major cities and townships is lying uncultivated and unutilized for several years. Hence for productive utilization, this land can be brought under commercial bamboo cultivation under the new Mission Bamboo of Govt. India. For this purpose, it can be advised to civic authorities to prepared and implement suitable incentives and tax penalty model to encourage utilization of land

Outbreak of the pandemic and lockdown has become a kick start towards overthinking leading to stress, depression and anxiety in everyone and youth is also not untouched with the same. Hence to ensure good Mental Health of future of the nation is an important aspect to look into. Training by professional regarding the ways to deal with these negative emotions should be given to the youth, also helping them with utilizing their time on their unique talents other than academics can help cope up.

All news channels should show all current affairs and important news (National as well as International) atleast for 1 hour everyday without any debate just in a calm manner. These will also help students in preparation of competitive exams.
