The outbreak of the global pandemic COVID -19 presents a challenging time for everyone around the world. Not only is this pandemic a serious medical concern, but it also brings mixed emotions and psycho-social stressors for all. There are emerging mental health concerns with specific focus on Children, Adolescents and Youth as they more vulnerable to heightened level of stress, anxiety and fearfulness, along with a range of other emotional and behavioral issues. COVID-19 has also brought new stressors on Teachers and Parents hampering their capacity to provide positive support to their wards. While it is important to focus on continuing education on the academic front, we must give equal importance to the mental health and well-being of the students.

Manodarpan, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, under the AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, aims at mobilizing psycho-social support to help Children, Youth, Teachers and Parents country-wide in a comprehensive and multimodal manner during conditions like COVID-19 and after. For more information, please visit www.mhrd.gov.in/covid-19/

MyGov in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, hereby invites citizens to share ideas and inputs to combat the psycho-social stress on School & College Students, Teachers and Parents, caused due to COVID-19 pandemic. Selected comments may be featured on social media.

Last date of sending us your inputs is 21st August 2020

Ideas to promote mental well-being among students during COVID - 19 Pandemic and beyond are: 1. Yoga - giving just 30 minutes daily to yoga can boost the entire body for the day as it stimulates all organs as well as the nervous system of the body and provides a lot of energy. 2. Exercise - everyone must do exercise twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening because in the present time we are confined to the four walls of house. 3. Give a little time to your family and hobbies.

In my opinion, all parents requires training before sending their child to school or college every year and such training shall be conducted by the relevant schools/colleges. Parents / Guardian those who attend only shall be allowed to send their kid to school. Parents needs to be trained in various aspects such as talent recognition, handling teen children during their harmonal change, undertstanding their kids etc. First of all, parents requires more training rather than the children.

As schools are closed and children have to spend time mostly with parents only. So, parents shall notice the behavioural changes in their children. They shall discuss change in behaviour with their children and remove any doubts and fear in their minds. Early detection and remedial measures will help in avoiding bigger mental health issues

sir, HOMEWORK IN PAPER AND POST OFFICE weekly 4days attending and 3 days home work should be given depending on the school and collegegrade. Instead of length online class and schedule, student can be asked to do homework in paper and send it through post. so that eyes and mental stress can be reduced due continued radiation effect .Post office can be revamped as almost all citizens have forgotten and stopped visiting post office .Atlelast students will be touch forusing paper in exams.
