#MSDE : MSDE has to create a National portal for all institutions under them. All infrastructure / skilled faculty details, branches of study must be uploaded there. Set up an expert committee to decide what all equipment are needed for running various specific branches of study. It is very easy to find the shortage and fill it. Consumable requirements can also be supplied. No need for purchase dept in such institutions! Central govt can supply everything. No corruption. Save billions/year!

#MSDE :Indian youth are capable of acquiring any skill. But, 80% of the teachers are not skilled at all! What will MSDE do to improve their quality? It's a grave scenario. Skill test must be introduced for selection of faculty, other than written tests. None of the infrastructure facilities in higher education institutions is made available online! Skilled teachers and infrastructure accountability is most needed for a Skilled India.

#MyGov, #MSDE : The biggest pitfall that Ministry of Skill Development going to face is the supply of quality equipment required for infrastructure devpt. MHRD supplies all cheap eqpts/machinery! If the same happens with Skill Ministry, there ends Skill Development in India. Skill development Ministry has to start a portal to record the facilities in every institution under them. Govt has to start a factory to supply quality equipment. Tendering process is waste when we think of quality.

#MyGov, #MSDE : India has skill. My students made this sport cars using components picked up from scrap and they made it from scratch. The problem which I face now is how to place them in good companies. Will Skill India can support them? If yes, India will succeed. Govt has to find options for supplying the best components and best infrastructure to us.

I have been mentoring Skill programs for last 7 years and over 6500 students have been skilled for Automobile sector. Also mentored programs in Hospitality, retail, Telecom. My personal experience is that the Sector Skill Councils lack the desired connect both with Industry and the youth. The whole approach needs a re-look

It is important for our younger generation to build up Self confidence and Self respect for enterprenourship rather than hoping everything would be done by Govt. alone. Educational programme in grassroot levels with present infrastructure assisted by Govt. could be of great help.

This Ministry would do well in developing polytechnics in district headquarters and Taluk headquarters to train A/c technicians, draftsmen, carpenters, precision instrument design, computer hardware professionals and the like.We need to have Associate level 2 year degree training like US.
