Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

School education shall focus on 2 aspects of education. 1. Have enough knowledge so as to survive & be self-dependent in the modern world. 2. Scope for development of skills the individuals posses so that they can identify and decide what they want to take up further in life BASED ON THEIR OWN CHOICE.

Few inputs: 1. Avoid rigid syllabus system 2. Provision of "Descriptive type progress report" upto standard 8th instead of tarditional grading or percentage system 3. Go for logical based pedagogy leading to basics & understanding of origin and source of derivation of formulas and theorems 4. Establish correlation between articles taught and everyday life to understan the scope and applicability 5. Evolving a "Computational teaching methodology" by integrating technology with science & math

A college which admits student on merit basis only. If quota is required have quota to give the minorities a chance to study upto primary and secondary education. But reserving seats for admission in colleges have only reduced the quality of colleges bit also of the students entering into it.

same video classes in a simple language specially compulsary to show every student on monthly basis to motivate them by our indigenous personalities who made a change through their simple education tool...with written exams inclusion of project making of simple basic science too in the whole curriculum.., because science need more practical efforts to get fruitful outcomes...to achieve this technology will help to share the methods of teaching easily of other countries too...thanku

In France, students in primary school are taught using animations and video games. Applied arts and science is compulsory for all students to learn. Use ICT to nurture creativity in Indian students in the same way.

When we were studying in schools and colleges about 50 years ago, there was no Multimedia & computer-aided software to enable students to understand "much more precisely" the subjects being taught. For example, imagine explaining in traditional way, working of induction motor and doing it with help of SAY, a 3D multimedia enabled course. What takes more than 4 sessions can be done in 15 minutes! So too in say, biology= you don't need to cut bodies- a virtual tour will do same, in just 1 hour!
