Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

Lecturers and professors in engineering colleges must come after gaining some experience in Industry rather than a mere degree.Engineering faculty at starting rarely has insights of how things are happening in world outside classroom, and they are not able to connect with practical purpose of engineering. Many subjects are unnecessary in Engineering studies like physics and chemistry .Also redundant subjects like Engineering Drawing should be removed and Auto Cad should be taught instead

Collaborative education is the need of the hour. For higher education, the syllabus only should be given. The students should create a text book by themselves. Once this system is introduced, the higher education in India will be improved a million times. TEXTBOOK BUILDING SHOULD BE THE NEW EDUCATION POLICY. NOT BY THE TEACHERS, BUT BY THE STUDENTS.

Dear HRD Minister, A major issue facing students is the inability to take informed decision on which career to pursue. Normal students fall into 4 broad categories viz. 1) Good with their hands and hard workers (Karma Yogis) 2) Good with dealing with people (Bhakti Yogis) 3) Good with intellectual n academic skills (Dnyana Yogis) 4) Those who are creative and artistic (Raja Yogis). There are hundreds of careers in each of the 4 categories. Subjects as per their type shud be given to kids fm Std8

Dear HRD Minister, I wish to highlight 5 MOST URGENT & IMPORTANT aspects while framing NEW Education Policy : 1) Make access to superb lectures by Top faculty for all subjects from Std.1 to Graduation FREE via internet. 2) Have a SINGLE NATIONAL EXAM for each professional course for all colleges in India. 3) Have a SINGLE NATIONAL EXIT EXAM for each professional course - this will check quality of graduates. 4) Give RANKING to all colleges and GRADES to all schools. Stop aid to B-grade schools.

contd.. So we had to induce each and every citizen in required category. Suppose a farmer do had graduation level developed skills but do not have foundation level education of language , maths and constitution so give him that and bring him par to say... graduate in certain type of farming. This will give him social recognition, grading and appreciation.Further go for masters and learn more and can even possess doctorate level so to teach others. So missing links of education had to be filled.

Foundation level education(nursery to 12th) is transformation of raw citizen into a enlightened law abider citizen. . Higher level education(Graduation) is developing preexisting skills into a skilled productive citizen.. Master level education is appreciation and recognition of a citizen who is enlightened, productive and have advanced level of expertise. Doctorate level education is recognition and appreciation of all what you had learn till now and ready to teach back to citizens.
