We are living in a dynamic knowledge based society. Newer technologies and challenges are seeing the birth of new areas of study. Our higher education institutions must identify the new domains of knowledge in the global scenario and build up their capacities to meet this need. How can we retain our soft power in the global comity of nations?

शिक्षा से तात्पर्य मेरा यह है कि बालक के शरीऱ, आत्मा और मन में जो कुछ उत्तम है . उसका पूरी तरह प्रस्फुटन होना चाहिए . साक्षरता शिक्षा का न अंतिम उद्देश्य है और न ही प्रारम्भिक .यह केवल एक साधन है .इसके द्वारा छात्रों को शिक्षा दी जाती है .साक्षरता अपने आप में कोई शिक्षा नहीं है .इसलिए शिक्षा का प्रारम्भ कोई उपयोगी शिल्प या तकनीकी शिक्षा सिखाने से होना चाहिए .जिससे वह प्रारम्भ होते ही कुछ उपार्जन करने योग्य हो सके .अर्थात आत्म निर्भर हो सके .
