Dear sir, our govt must shift its focus from "minimum supporttive prise" to "maximum infrastructure for preservation and agro-based market".Our onion farmer and potato do not get actual value of their product due less number of cold storage as well as a nexus of cold storage owner-market owner etc...if govt tkae enough steps to build cold storage and ask farmers association to handle those may produce a good result..which will be good for consumer as well as sellers.Rice papad ka marketting ...

Dear Sir
Farmers should be educated about soil conservation techniques, emphasis on organic farming, research on soil friendly fertilizers and pesticides.
Agricuture is backbone of every civilization.Encourage people to take up farming. It can generate huge employment.
Smallscale food processing factories, cottage industries to be promoted near villages so that farmer can sell his produce directly to them.
Preserve indigenous crop varieties and use GM crop only if it is healthy and nutritous

Sir, Farmers need to educated about farm loans available from various sources. NBFC should also be allowed to lend to farmers as banks have failed to increase the coverage. Loan application forms should be simplified. Farmers need to be educated about rescheduling of the loans, credit history, implications of loan default. Direct Selling agents should be engaged in servicing the loans. This would gain fully employed rural youth and help financial institutions to penetrate rural financial markets

There are situations where due to over production of farm produce due to good monsoon and there is no space at FCI. There is no takers of farm produce from the agriculturist. Either the farm produce is sold at rock bottom price at loss or the farm produce is spoiled without proper storage infrastructure available with the farmer. In such case a AGRICULTURE EXPORT PROMOTION BOARD to comes to rescue to farmers to export the excess farm produce on war footing.

Dear Sir
A farmer must sell his agricultural land to a farmer only and the buyer farmer should use that land for agriculture only. Make a law for this.
Identify non agricultural land in rural areas and use that only for rural infrastructure development and govt. projects.
Eliminate the middlemen between farmer and market.Provide markets at district, state and national levels.
Provide bank loans to poor farmer for crop cultivation.Amount of loan money can depend on land size, type of crop.

Farmers are backbone of any economy. There is tremendous potential in Indian farmers. To realize their potential it is important that they are empowered to use technological innovation such as in Japan. Using technology they would not only benefit in high production of their crops but also the use of water resources would be minimized. Government should invest time and money to provide framers:
1. Access to technology
2. Access to water for farming
3. Education, training and guidance

Dear Sir
Agriculture become "input intensive" instead of "knowledge intensive". Reason for this is information gap. "Farmer mobiles apps" developed by social entrepreneurs start up Jayalaxmi agrotech Pvt Ltd impacted lives of 15000 farmers in Karnataka on their individual capacity. Government should partner and support this for the benefit of farmers. See the below link to see the demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UA4_xCK0mLY
