Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Sir, farmers in many regions are not going with agro -climatic cropping pattern. They decide crops based on MSP. This will increase the use of fertilizers which in turn results in soil degradation. Please throw light on this.

Sir, Procurement prices or support prices can be different for BPL FARMERS APL FARMERS AND RICH FARMERS. Procurement of crop should be done first from BPL Farmers then from APL farmer and at last RICH FARMERS. Export is permitted only to RICH FARMERS WHO if required can buy from BPL or APL FARMERS at government support prices+ differential price of gov. and international market APL FARMERS==LAND20 BIGHA BUT 100 BIGHA

In Tamilnadu the cultivable area of land is dwindling due to the following reasons: a. Non availability of water; b. Lands which depend on rains do not get water in time; c. The ground water is polluted in many places by industrial waste and other causes. Due to the above reasons, lands are sold as housing plots by real estate brokers. Conservation of water sources, rain water harvesting, prevention of pollution and encroachments are some measures.

Sir, Now a days subsidy burden is biggest challenge for Indian economy. For farmers to aim and provide subsidy to needy FARMERS BPL system can be started where -farmers having less then 20 BIGHA land are BPL FARMERS -20-100 BIGHA can be named APL FARMERS AND MORE THEN 100 BIGHA can be named RICH FARMERS. BPL FARMERS are to be provided with larger subsidies then APL farmers but RICH FARMERS need not be given subsidies but are to be charges marginal income tax as well but with different limits.

Dear sir, I came from a farmer family of Jharkhand state and currently staying in Malaysia. Now a days I am observing that Peoples are stop farming due several reasons like less Manpower, huge rate of fertilizers and other supporting items. As per my knowledge the Manrega kind of system is killing farming. Now we are dependent on export items not Indian products. We are asking foreigner item like American cucumber because we are stop growing. Please motivate farmer once again.
