Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Encourage setting up of farmer's markets at key locations such as major bus stations and railway stations where farmers can sell directly to consumers. Alternatively, farmers cooperatives may take charge of cleanliness of the railway station as part of the Swach Bharath Abhiyaan in return for marketing their products

Dear Sir, Land Acquisition Bill may include provision for acquiring 'double' the land needed and using half for the purpose and distributing the other half proportionately for the people displaced by the acquisition and pay for the other half in cash. This gives them the opportunity to overcome the scare of being ousted from their birth place where they were living for years. Yes, we value our land more than anything and please give us this opportunity - we know development must come.

Dear Sir, Agriculture in India 'Flourish'. But farmers perish. The reason is that their products are being sold underpriced. The subsidies make rice, wheat etc available @ Re. 1/- or so. The State Governments are competing for providing subsidised grains for People. They not even consider the producers' cost on making their products. Indian farmers can only be saved by scraping the subsidies and the subsidy amount credited to JDY accounts and make them buy grains at market price.

PM's March 22 Mann Ki Baat: There is nothing wrong with Land acquisition bill which promises fair financial compensation to farmers for land acquired in public interest for development, industrial growth, jobs creation, community housing etc. Economic growth will benefit everyone including farmers. Even future generations of farmers will need jobs outside of farming. Think long-term. PM should talk about sustained economic growth in all sectors in his next Radio talk. Protests are bad politics.

-- The paradox in agriculture- though large numbers are engaged in it, the productivity is poor .Mechanization will create more rural unemployment.Do we want to support poor farmers or want them to get out of the clutches of the landowning upper castes and get into other livelihood opportunities in situ -instead of pushing them into urban slums as laborers?PM may like to conveythis message suitbaly

Sir, greetings Of d dy. In agriculture sector lot many yojna r inplaced but all r not in sync. Better would b tat a flow chart should b prepared from land till marketing of produce. Govt aids, focus, awareness to b inplaced in needed area. While doing so biggest constraint is diversity. One yojna can not b beneficial for whole country. e.g. in field areas bigger plots are better but in hilly areas smaller plots are better. Giving monetary aids is just a shortcut, we need to have broder plans.

Dear Sir,I am very happy that you have selected a topic very dear and near to my heart .I always think of improving the plight of a small farmers(5 acrec) .I am amazed to know very huge budgets are allotted to this sector but a majority of the amounts are not utilized properly .I feel a detailed study has to be made before formulating any agri scheme the ground realities has to be taken into consideration before implementing them

Fasal beema ki galat neeti ke chalte aaj ki sthiti men koi kisaan fasal beema nahin karwana chahta. kisaanon ke saath bhaari anyaay ho raha hai. sarkaar baar baar kahti hai ki udyog se krishi ko jyada suvidha de rahe hain,jabki iska ulta hai. jab fasal beema ke antargat fasal ke nuksaan ka aankalan hota hai to ek tehsil/jila ko ikaai ke rup men maana jaata hai, jabki udyog men sirf ek hi udyog ko ikaai mana jaata hai. Ye maap dand sartha galat hai.

Sir,I think the small farmers are the most deprived sector in our society .There is a school of thought that small land holdings are viable .But I think a large part of our country consists of such section .Hence to have a small holdings is a sin and to take up any agri activity is foolish.
