Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

. जहाँ तक जमीन कि कीमत बाजार भाव से 4 गुना देने कि बात है ज्यादातर उद्योगपति (98%) उद्योग के लिय चयनित स्थान का 50% से ज्यादा जमीन अपने दलालो के माध्यम से पहले ही खरीद लेते है फिर वहाँ उद्योग कि घोसना करते है या सरकार से करवाते है ! इस विसंगति से निपटने का बिल में क्या प्रावधान होगा?

Dear PM Modiji, The farmers problem in each state is different.The basic problem is concerned with water.Just like different crops are cultivated in different states the requirements of water is varying for each crop.Paddy cultivation need more water where as other staple foodgrain like wheat,jovar,Sorghum water requirement is less.Coconut,Rubber,Sugarcane and many more agicultural products water is important.There are plenty of Dams in the country but farmers still depend on RAIN----

Dear Sir, One aspect that every small farmer in India suffers from is Lack of Storage for his agricultural product. The Govt agencies can definitely provide for the same at nominal rentals(i.e. on No loss/No profit Basis) under each Gram Panchayat, which could even lead to a self sufficient village Panchayat catering to their respective storage needs. BOT model appears to be is an ideal method where large farmers/village youth in the area could be persuaded if not Local industrialists for this.

Key messages : 1) Reduce dependency of 65% of population to maybe 35% of population over a decade 2) Focus should be on increased productivity rather than people & limited fertile land 3) Crop insurance is a must to prevent bankruptcy and hence suicides 4) Other members of family to be absorbed in other non-farming activities to reduce family dependency 5) Land should be easily bought/sold for better value 6) Education for family is a must 7) Direct access to markets, no middlemen needed

2014 Lokniti survey:62% of farmers would prefer to leave their land & get well paying job in the city if that were an option.Most farmers don't want their kids in farming & most children of farmers don't want to continue farming.Agriculture no longer an economically viable activity for such a large number of people.Development is in farmers interests & land bill is pro-development and pro-farmer.Vested interests claiming to fight for the farmer are really fighting against farmers interests.

gobar gas to be integrated with swath bhaarat to make it anerobic bio digester which not only gives free gas but also an excellent manure. Vertical farming, drip irrigation, RWH, waste mngmnt, energy mngmnt are necessary

It is important to understand zero budget natural farming, Natueco forming techniques and other techniques where the input cost is practically zero but output is fantastic. Secondly villages should be like cities with all infrastructure ( your RURBAN ) concept. For marginal farmers a simple technique called Gangamaa mandal which needs just 1000 Sq ft area to feed a family of five with just waste water alone should be encouraged. It’s painful to watch that poor people are starving and on the other hand crops is getting rotten due to such a mismanagement. I feel the only place that grain deserves to be is in the stomachs of the people who are hungry. First steps should be taken to safeguards whatever we have already produced. Government should put up more and more sheds to store crops. I suggest to involve public/private firms to safe guard grains. Please take some steps to safeguard food which is getting rotten evry yr

respected sir, my father retired from the post of Asst. Director (Agri.) he had a closer look at this grievous situation. he came from family of farmers and freedomfighters, this inspired him to write a handbook that could serve as a holybook for the farmers, giving them a moral support and getting them to know the importance of their contribution in development of the nation and ultimately reducing the count of suicidal attempts by farmers throughout the country.

Namaste Modiji, There is no proper center in our rural areas so that farmers can examine the soil of their lands that helps them 'what to produce' properly. I request that it's the high time to think for it for our farmers .
