There should be prestigeous post graguate courses in agriculture and these students should get jobs in Govt agencies to promote newer technologies of agricultural production, storage, food processing , marketing and exporting.

In addition to my previous comment:
The government should not allocate ferlile land to industrialists. It should encourage farming with modern organic methods to yield maximum crops as possible.
It should encourage skilled farmers to buy those lands and help them to utilize farming skills to yield bumper crops.
The government should encourage export of agricultural produce abroad encourage agro based industries through low interest loans and make India an agricultural superpower.

We should make efforts to see to it that farmers get correct and confirmed value for their produce.
And we need to encourage supply directly from farmers to the consumers in cities thereby reducing dependency on middle men and removing main reason for rise in cost and other issues.
Farmers need to be saved from the Debt issues they have spiralled into.
We need to introduce modern farming techniques and reduce dependency on monsoons.#Farmers
