Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

We will have to bring the farmers into the main stream and we will have to encourage them to use the banking system to sell their produce so that they can be free from the clutches of the money lenders.

What we are discussing here is just thinking and discussing over the sky. What actual problems peoples on ground level facing everyone knows but behave like no problem here and planing large & very large. Problems will still same after each planing because no one want to see & resolve them.

Govt.should take effective steps to minimise/ban the use of pesticides during cultivation and fruit ripening resulting cancer.Farmers/traders should be educated /well informed for dreadly consequences as well as some punishment should be there stop the excessive use of pesticides.Govt.should do something to stump the root cause of the problem/disease instead of opening more and more cancer hospitals.

Dear Modiji, its a necessity to have good roads, schools, hospitals, irrigation and many more things WELL SPREAD cross the country and for that we NEED LAND. The land owner must be given a life time support (job to at least his one son) and enough of money. You are already giving 4 times compensation which is good enough. Mr. Nitin Gadakri is already planing to plant tress around the roads everywhere. So its a good initiative to add your 5 clauses along with UPA's 13. Good Luck....

The big problem India is facing through nexus of builders and politicians with corrupt public service. Across the country it's very easy to buy agricultural land and turn it into NA (Non Agricultural) with few thousand rupees of money in black. The agricultural land is reducing day by day with this method. To keep farming as an attractive avenue for everybody, please make Agricultural as an industry and break LOOTING of rich Heritage of India by politicians, public service AGENTS and builders.

Valuing farmers as entrepreneurs rather than just producers is very important and keeping them at the centre of any policy or business design of the Public or Private sector can make the agriculture related projects, programs or missions more impactful and deliver sustainable returns for the whole society.
