The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

RTI act is to give power to the citizen to know the details of the government projects and its the most important tool used for exposing the corruption in the government. My experience is that most of the time the officials are trying to hide the information, make it difficult for the person to access the information, they are just trying to waste time and money of the person, please do something about it

In India, we should have a National Lottery like one in EU & UK. with small amount for ticket (Rs 10etc.) we can bring atleast few ppl out of poverty every week. secondly some of the money from the pool should be spent to develop social projects (upgrade parks , sport facilities, schools, nursing home etc.). It will also bring hope for millions and jobs, if we can do it fairly like they do in UK and EU. Indian population is big plus for this sort of scheme (bigger the better), more money for all

All government, private, educational institutions, offices which is asking for demand draft should be stopped. Offices should accept payment by credit card. Worst case, debit card should be accepted. I know that Bescom in Bangalore is asking for demand draft based payment for corporate payment of bills. This should be stopped. We should be able to make online payment with debit or credit card. GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO COMPLETELY STOP THE USE OF DEMAND DRAFT.
