The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

Th team I mentioned should look after few things like I hav mentioned below..th team should b given legal right to charge fine..like in uae th cops arnt allowed to collect th money n only b allowed to hand over a receipt which th fined person should pay wthin a month..if th govt guy tries to take bribe he should b punished n pay double th fine to th opp person..so thr wont b option to bribe..ths dept shoud hav th right to work wth ppl against any govt employe who encourages bribe..

I'm using Tata Docomo WiFi @ 2Mbps, but what I get is 500Kbps. With such sub-standard services, how can our nation achieve the goal to be Digital India. Who will take care of quality assurance? Will the IT ministry seek to that the people are getting what they opted for?. Will there be any strict laws imposed on companies who fail to accomplish what they advertise? Lets carry our Hope to the future...
