The objective of the Group is to brainstorm and invite considered views of all stakeholders in Chemicals & Petrochemical sector that include polymers, plastics, synthetic rubber basic Chemicals, pesticide, dyes etc. The sector is touching the lives of each and every member of the society. This sector has tremendous potential of growth vis a vis the contribution of this sector in the world economy, especially in the manufacturing sector in developed countries. The sector also offers employment opportunities for a large population.

As the sector is already liberalized, which has also resulted in a rapid increase in imports, there is a need to review this situation and to promote domestic manufacturing by attracting large investments and providing facilitative policy regime. At the same time, sustainability and environment friendliness of the industries in this sector also has to be ensured as an initiative as part of ‘MAKE IN INDIA’ campaign of the new government.

Comments and views are invited from the stakeholder at large.

Dear Prime Minister, I have a humble suggestion regarding the CSIR Isn't it possible that you assign a duty to a particular CSIR lab to synthesize general purpose chemicals (research grade) that are used in laboratories at large scale. This will save lot of national wealth and introduce transparency in research. We spend millions for buying these chemicals from foreign manufacturers like Sigma etc. if we have our own lab for synthesis of these we can manage project money for extra innovtion

chemical industries required water. this water shall take from sea only.so that all chemical plants shall be like vizag/like tarapur/ Calcutta places only. then rain water and surface water shall utilize for public usage.if chemical industries establish like Hyderabad/banglore/chandigadh etc, all surface water use for industry then these industrial waste will discharge there only, it create water pollution etc. these cities will face lot of water crisis and ground water level gone beyond 1500ft.

Make in India is the best way of inviting large groups for manufacturing products in India. It is a welcoming factor, with this reason invitees should not spoil our land by increasing pollution interms chemical and plastic pollution which is very serious in landing people throwing immediately into cancer. Again Indian Medical standards will not encourage existing systems to control or prevent from those attacks. Pollution free manufacturing methods to be adopted for world healthy environment.

The best way of Promotion of Information and Communication Technology systems in school and adult education is to allot all the possible allocable opportunities of learning and promoting to the privileged reservation categories and corrupt, selfish persons, like chaiwalas who fulfill their dreams "around the world" at the cost of nation's money, shot slogans of good doing to the poor.

basically my idea is for small scale chemicals industries. The micro and small scale chemical industries contribute to very large part of indian economy.Much less is done for this sector. taxation and other regulations needs to be reviewed for small scale industries especially manufacturing.Better financial support mechanism is expected.

I am from petrochemical industry and would like to highlight pathetic state of project execution one of ONGC promoted project OPaL in Dahej Gujarat. The cost and time overrun is enormous.A project of 15k crores is now at a staggering 30k crores.all taxpayers money and nobody knows when it will going to see the light of producing polymers.major concern are local utilities like water, piping work stuck due to land issue for which the basic raw material cannot be moved.Seek PMO intervention. Thanks
