for basic education in our country system are not parallel. States has their own educational boards..if you go through the system of marking in board exam you will see the difference which can not justify the real talent ..even syllabus makes difference from state to state among same standard....this make huge gap between central and state board student ..we need one education board and that should be driven by central only and there should be compulsion of one state language course.

Permit children with special needs to use ICT to give them equal opportunities - this ICT can be prescribed on the basis of assessments (Children with writing difficulties/difficulties in calculations etc.) This is not an undue or unequal opportunity, it actually equalizes the field.. Like wearing glasses, or using crutches to walk etc.

Make chromebooks subsidised. Just like USA. But please, no more stupid datawind tablets. They suck. I can only imagine a scam behind it's government support. As a e-learning suite developer, I'd suggest introduction of Google's chromebooks to education methodology.

To bring tranparency in functioning of all govt and private schools maintenance and weekly updation of their websites should be made mandatory. This one single step will eradicate all kinds of educational malpractices presently found in our institutions. One IT cell in Delhi can monitor the all the schools of the country without wasting huge effort and money on superflous inspections etc
