A multi-lingual society recognises the importance of education in languages. While there are some interventions for appointment of language teachers and promotion of classical languages, there is no comprehensive scheme or language policy and we need to have inputs on this dimension.

OBJECTIVE: Vedic style education system shall be restored.. 1.Education at all levels should be in National language,in Sanskrit and hindi (Because 80% of the our crucial time waste in transferring Visual English into Mother tongue in memory and again imparting in English). ENGLISH SHOULD BE TAUGHT AS A LANGUAGE ONLY NOT AS THE MEDIUM.. 2. Start all vedic style syllabus including Yoga, Pranayams, Ayurved, Sanskrit literature and also Science, Mathematics and Social Studies..

I think education does not mean only education it covers two things one is education and second is literacy, we should separate out the literacy from education. Our first focus should be on literacy, should be mandatory for every one and it should be free also so that everyone will get benefits of Right Of Education. Education is something which will pursue only after once you get literate. This is all in short needs brainstorming by well EDUCATED people.

1: Archive all the regional languages as they are now becoming extinct. It will help the archeologists to decipher in future. 2: Hindi (&/or English) to made be compulsory as it increases the bonding. 3: Regional language to be made optional. Regional language is good but at other time it makes an Indian helpless to communicate with another Indian. Tourists find it difficult to communicate with regional speaking person.

If we are serious about protecting linguistic diversity, we should not just focus on reshaping our schools (which can be done by experts, not me). But I propose simple online solutions which will be a catalyst for preservation of languages. We must tap into Wikimedia. Indian books and Indian literature must be made available to the WHOLE WORLD. Our Indian literature will then be translated to other countries languages and we will translate all of the Wikipedia English into local language

We must preserve our rich linguistic diversity. I propose a few ways of doing this. 1. Translate all pages of Wikipedia to local languages. We need contributors! Check out http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Home 2. Just like we use QWERTY keyboard, all official languages of India must have its own keyboard typeset (usually alongside with the QWERTY) The importance of the first point cannot be underestimated. It not only preserves our languages, but provides access to free education.

Sir, there are several languages & even more dialects in our diverse country. Language affinity is good, especially when several languages are dying a slow death all over the world. However, it is a means of communication, hence learning as many languages as possible is to be encouraged apart from one's mother tongue. In these times of migration, knowing languages helps professionally. All schools should have language labs, may be even as part of co-curricular activity to stimulate young minds.

Interesting good books within Indian language should be translated in all the Indian languages and they should be made available in all school libraries. So that every child will get an opportunity to access other language work in its own mother language. Then naturally the child will be interested and motivated to learn that different language to read those works in their original languages.
