This is a slow progress. we should appreciate the effort and be a part of it.
Do you know that rome is not as developed as it should be or compared to its other counter parts because it is small and old. if we could just bulldoz the city and then plan we would have to be china.
it is not going to be smart in a day. it is a slow process. and i am so proud of honorable PM for this initiative.

Fear for doing wrong thing is very important factor for any developed city/country. In our country we don't have fear for doing wrong. So we need to impose this fear in each and every citizen. Make it compulsory to use CCTV in each and every government office, school, Hospital, highway, road, bus, train, station etc. Also give some subsidy if people use CCTV in their shop,Socitey, home,Club house etc. In developed country almost every thing is under the CCTV range. So everyone scare to do wrong thing

Smart means with less effort we should get more result. In India we don't bother about rule and regulation. We know that if we theft electricity, violates traffic rule etc. we can get out of it by paying some money. Rule should be strict and should be monitor with zero violation. Make good quality of road, flyover, proper parking space. In developed country people used to travel office through public transport. So increase public transport like buses, metro, light rail and people should feel safe

Empower local bodies to tackle surge in urban population.India’s urban population is set to increase from 400 million to 800 million in the next 35 years. In the absence of effective policy-making and systemic reforms it will be difficult to manage that population and achieve desirable socio-economic progress. Government should abstain from managing the cities the way it has managed them in the last 40 years and devote time to strengthen institutions like municipalities and urban local bodies.

I stay in New York. I have some idea:
1. Traffic should flow with Jam.
2. Garbage collection and waste management should be there.
3. Promote to use solar energy for residential, commercial etc.
4. Promote online payment of electricity, cable, gas, property tax.. etc.
5. Road side vendor should be provide proper space and facility.
6. Park should be in every 1-2 km
7. Each and every government work should be online.
8. Take strict action on corrupt officer.
