In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

#Corruption starts circulating in every aspect of life. First of all, we should pay attention to the basic reason of #Corruption. To root out the evil of corruption from our society, we need to make a Comprehensive Code of conduct for politicians, legislatures, bureaucrats and such code should be strictly enforced. I'm sharing some of my ideas enclosed herewith #MyGov

In most of the departments like public works department a huge amount of money is required for projects like construction and repair of roads, Bridges, dams but in most cases repair of same project or site is done after every 1/2/3 years whereas life of such construction/repair is much more than that. To avoid the misuse of funds given to such projects a continuous monitoring in form of photos and videos of such projects on day to day frequency basis to be made compulsory and added in contact.

Corruption has no reason to be called primary or secondary. It's the practice. The Orthodoxy and outraged ideals have latched on firmly within the roots. While the new generation attempts at recovery, sins of their fathers reopen the wounds and smart the scars. The solution, however, is very simple. Education and Awareness. To reinstate righteousness, the foundation of future must be reinforced. The second key factor is availability. I have devised a system, that I am sharing here. #MyGov

the main reason of corruption is money and problem. a person do corruption when he or she need money and other is a person do corruption because of don't want any problem in work. if we solve one problem out of this i think maximum corruption will stop what we have to do is giving money for doing work in a limited time. this scheme should be for government officer and if they dont work properly in a time we should deduct salary so the officer work hard and fast .

It must be made mandatory for any shopkeeper, Railway caterer to provide bill to customer even without asking for it. Onus for providing proof of generation of bill must be with the shopkeeper. This will not only check tax violation but will also check inflated price by shopkeeper or railway vendor or any service provider. Digital payment must be introduced in railway catering also.
