In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

There should be an advanced smart parking technology in and around cities so that the city looks clean and there by avoiding the random parking of vehicles and this parking does not come for free.

The core concept of smart city is the use of strategies to increase the better management of natural resources and their protection such as water ways, green spaces, parks.

Once complete, HSR will convert southern cities such as Thiruvananthapuram, Bangalore and Chennai into one urban agglomeration with combined economies comparable to state-level GSDPs.

urban sprawl presently limited to 30-50 km from the city centre will change into a 300-500 km long conurbations linking central business districts of multiple cities, forming urban economies of global scale and size.
