In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

Their aim is to develop a ‘single point of contact’ for citizens, that delivers services and information to citizens by answering questions, transferring calls to relevant departments and by handling some types of service cases.

As a future number 1 Smart City Tumakurian, by keeping in this mind, I would like to suggest one excellent, effective, very newest and very low cost project for effective and efficient management of all types wastes in our loved smart city “TUMAKURU”.

Tumkur was converted into a city Corporation only in 2010 by adding 22 villages adjoining the city. The Population is 3,05,877 as per the 2011 census.
