In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

The Spurt in the Population of Tumkur Town only happened after Independence. In 1947 the population of Tumkur was around 35,000 only,

was established in January 1938 with a view to relieving congestion of work in the other sub-divisional offices of the district. Tumkur became a major trading town only in the later part of 1880.

Edinburgh Napier University is linking the City of Edinburgh Council with a range of academics and University teams with skills to help deliver local pilots. UAS Oldenburg is providing technical/academic support to Osterholz-Scharmbeck to identify and measure the e-gov/e-service needs of local citizens and businesses and supporting the development of local IT systems.
