In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

The present Tumkur district formed part of MaddagiriFaujdari. In 1834, these six Faujdaris were reconstituted into the four divisions of Bangalore, Nagar, Chitaldrug and Ashtagram.
