In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

As a result of the development after implementation of smart city project, attracting FDIs, creating clean atmosphere and utilizing the updated technologies are visualized.

Traffic signals are sufficient and traffic rules are enforced. Shops, restaurants, building entrances and trees line the sidewalks to encourage walking and there is ample lighting so the pedestrian feels safe day and night

A smart city's roads are designed equally for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles. Road safety and sidewalks are paramount to street design.

The city aspires for a smart and efficient transportation system covering the entire gamut of transport related issues including smart mobility, intelligent transportation system, and provisions for NMT etc.
