In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

The city actively encourages or incentivizes re-development of underutilized parcels in the inner-city, especially those located close to public transportation.

parcels of land into highdensity, walk able areas. When new formal largescale development projects happen at the periphery, they are encouraged to be dense and compact, with buildings that are close together and line the streets.

In total 74 indicators were selected for the evaluation, whereas 48 (65 %) are based on local or regional data and 26 (35 %) are based on national data.
