Re-adopting the joint family system can be a significant way save energy, and reduce carbon footprint, to slow down the climate change as families share resources and reduce wasteful consumption. This will also improve the family ties, better care for the kids and for the elderly alike! How about government incentivising the joint families and HUFs with tax sops?

In summer, we might notice that the air conditioner doesn't work properly due to the increased temperature. This happens because the AC fan, which is located outside the house, can get overheated. To help cool it down, we can make some modifications or use a fan.

I have observed this since young age that many times the city lights remain on beyond the requirement. May be it's due the specific timings, but my suggestion would be to switch off the lights as soon as the day becomes bright enough to make the roads visible. This will save a lot of electricity and money.
