Bamboo has been the lifeline of rural India since time immemorial. With the passage of time and development of technologies leading to new usage, the 'green gold' has turned into a potential game changer for rural economy - for the farmer and industry equally.

With this background and number of progressive measures including the amendment of the Indian Forest Act to remove bamboo outside forests from the definition of 'trees', the restructured National Bamboo Mission (NBM) was launched in 2018-19 for the development of complete value chain of bamboo sector linking growers (farmers) with industry starting from raising quality planting material, plantation, creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, micro, small & medium enterprises, skill development and brand building initiative in a cluster approach mode.

‘National Bamboo Mission’ invites farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, bamboo-based industry to send in their experiences, innovations, and good practices adopted for increased productivity, strengthen supply of raw material to industry, products in sync with contemporary markets, REPLACE SINGLE USE PLASTICS, new age construction, and other sunrise uses.

Uses for bamboo plants are practiced by over 2.5 billion people every day. This plant is naturally pesticide resistant and helps to rebuild eroded soil. It is antifungal, antibacterial, and can grow 2 ft in one day. It also absorbs a high amount of carbon dioxide and emits high levels of oxygen.

Bamboo is very useful plant . It grows faster than other plants. It is eco-friendly and it has many uses .Bamboo is used to make musical instruments. Used in making buildings and bridges because it is very strong .It is also used to make furnitures such as table , chairs etc. It is a good substitute for plastics. There are many uses of bamboo . These uses must be applied in our daily life. Thankyou

Bamboos are of notable economic and cultural significance in South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia, being used for building materials, as a food source, and as a versatile raw product. Bamboo, like wood, is a natural composite material with a high strength-to-weight ratio useful for structures.

Bamboo has many uses, mainly in construction (flooring, roofing designing, and scaffolding), furniture, food, biofuel, fabrics, cloth, paper, pulp, charcoal, ornamental garden planting, and environmental characteristics, such as a large carbon sink and good phytoremediation option, improving soil structure and soil ..

Bamboos are evergreen perennial flowering plants in the subfamily Bambusoideae of the grass family Poaceae. The origin of the word "bamboo" is uncertain, but it probably comes from the Dutch or Portuguese language, which originally borrowed it from Malay or Kannada.

In India Bamboo grows as an undergrowth in Forests of Central India. There are regular Bamboo working circles in Forest area of Maharashtra , Madhyapradesh, Odisha and Chattisgad.Most of the Bamboo is harvested for paper making. Bamboo is cut after three years of its germination. No cutting is done during rainy season (July-September) and broken and malformed culms are first harvested

Hisostiral human is more useful BAMBOO. BAMBOO is multipurpose useful like Shelter, pot,art, etc.. Today's time eco production is Bamboo. Industrial revolution is good. Bamboo is raw material for paper mill. Today's technology is a good example Bamboo is raw materials for ethanol. Bamboo is good production and agriculture growth. Bamboo is raw material for handglose, pots, Naturally aricondition room's. Eco and safety life is good BAMBOO. Environment & human health is good too.

bamboo grove can last for a hundred year or more. An average cane may live up to 15 years depending on the species, but to generalize, 7 to 10 years is more common. The starter plant and smaller plants will begin to die off a little faster as the grove matures because of sunlight absence.
