Bamboo has been the lifeline of rural India since time immemorial. With the passage of time and development of technologies leading to new usage, the 'green gold' has turned into a potential game changer for rural economy - for the farmer and industry equally.

With this background and number of progressive measures including the amendment of the Indian Forest Act to remove bamboo outside forests from the definition of 'trees', the restructured National Bamboo Mission (NBM) was launched in 2018-19 for the development of complete value chain of bamboo sector linking growers (farmers) with industry starting from raising quality planting material, plantation, creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, micro, small & medium enterprises, skill development and brand building initiative in a cluster approach mode.

‘National Bamboo Mission’ invites farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, bamboo-based industry to send in their experiences, innovations, and good practices adopted for increased productivity, strengthen supply of raw material to industry, products in sync with contemporary markets, REPLACE SINGLE USE PLASTICS, new age construction, and other sunrise uses.

Bamboo plants are considered very lucky and auspicious, according to Vastu Shastra, as well as Feng Shui. It is believed that keeping bamboo plants at home and in the office, brings good luck, wealth and fortune.

Moso Bamboo forests have many environmental benefits, because they absorb carbon dioxide, produce oxygen, control soil conditions, produce organic matter, conserve biological diversity, beautify the landscape, and contribute to the cleansing and sustainable development of the environment.

I started my venture 10 years back, currently we doing bamboo furniture and bamboo construction, still lot can do, this is the best material to create rural employment, this is the best material to reduce carbon foot print , also strength wise bamboo always compares with steel, our ancient people used bamboo in more exciting way from medicine to construction, very clear evidence in our sanskrit language to many other vedic topic. But unfortunately we lost the skill and technology. Need to revive

बचपन में हम डंडा लेकर चलते थे।आज भी मच्छरदानी बांधने में बांस के डंडा का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।

मेरे सहकर्मी टिर्की व कुजुर मिलकर एक साथ खाना बनाते थे और घर से लाए सौगातें साझा करते थे। जहां मैं भुंजा निमकी साझा करता था तो टिर्की आमलेट साझा करते। परन्तु, फुटबॉल खिलाड़ी रहे कुजूर जो साझा करते वह बिलकुल खास होता। वह होता उनकी मां के हाथों का बनाया बांस का अंचार। तेल मशालों में लिपटा बांस के कोमल टोंटों को छोटे छोटे टुकड़ों में तराश कर तेल मशालों के साथ मिलाकर धूप में पका अचार। उस पर हिदायत कि एक बार में ज्यादा मत लेना । बांस का टोटा तेजी से बढ़ता है उसी तरह उसका औषधी तुल्य असर भी होता है।

Bamboo is natural and have multiple use in daily life. we can use it for making kitchen utensils, home furniture , house making and many more and that's without any pollution. it's totally pollution free and eco friendly. It should be well promoted , as it will develop new green entrepreneurs and bring prosperity to the country.

Dear sir,we all know that every tree or plans have their own value but here we were talking about bamboo so I want to say that in our side bamboo stick or tree I have many uses like in marriage to the death funral .it is also use in distribution of food in the temple it is work like a utensils.

Bamboo is used to make many things It lives for long For Atmanirbhar Bharat India can make many things from bamboo We can make water bottles, Toothbrush, Utensils Bamboo products are cheap and quality of products is very good In india bamboo products will reduce the cost
