इस लकड़ी का इस्तेमाल ज्यादातर ग्रामीण इलाकों में होता है।मकान की छत को इसी से बनाया जाता है।लाठी व डंडे भी इसकी लकड़ी से बनाए जाते हैं।
इसका वृक्ष भी जंगलों व ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में ज्यादा पाया जाता है।इसके वृक्ष की वजह से बरसात में पहाड़ी इलाकों की मिट्टी खेतों से बह नहीं पाती तथा मिट्टी का क्षरण भी नहीं हो पाता।

Exotic woods like the mango are often used in Oriental rugs. Buying a bamboo rug will ensure that you save a tree.

Bamboo is being used in road reinforcements in Orissa, India. Bamboo bridges have also been built in China, capable of supporting trucks that weigh as much as 16 tons.
Bamboo– it’s the new hemp. T-shirts, socks, robes, boxers… your wardrobe can become entirely organic and sustainable.
Bamboo is often used for scaffolding because it proves to be an eco-friendly and cost-effective resource.

The best natural resource for rural crafts and paper industry. as a structural member used in transport carts, I used to see in my childhood.
Now it occupied its position for interiors and architecture. Before pipe was invented during world war.1 . this bamboo was used as pipe for transport of liquids. Great history with its roll on human services
