Bamboo has multifold uses
1) bamboo can also be used as a substitute for PVC Pipes
In rural area it can be very well used for irrigation and drip irrigation
2) presently Bamboo is also being used in Agarbatti industry. I would request you put a ban on that as per our Vedic knowledge Bamboo contains lead which should not be burnt.
3) Toothbrush - sir ideally this brushes cost very less but since due to involvement of middlemen they increase the price to multifolds which creates a barrier.

Bamboo products may be costlier than metallic or plastic products. Bamboo products have to be manually crafted whereas metallic products can be mass produced easily with automatic machines and plastic products can be mass produced with injection moulding machines.
Durability of bamboo products is not yet established.
Yet, bamboo can become raw material for industrial usages.
It can replace plastic and metals easily in making storage boxes, racks, pallets etc.

There should be seasonal mela in which govt should buy bamboo from farmers. And help them to know how to grow it more. Dedicated Online bulk bamboo buy sell portal should be made. Even for plywood making, bamboo use should be promoted.

This is a great initiative but according to me, as a consumer, I think I would be reluctant to buy bamboo products until and unless it is cheaper than plastic. Everybody is worried about budget, profits, etc., and they sometimes just ignore these products and concentrate on their profits.
But if these bamboo products or any green alternative turns out to be cheaper than plastic, everyone will want to use them.
