It's all about myself as i am lucky enough to have such parents who have never discriminated between me and my younger brother.Rather they supported in every aspect of my life,be it education or any other extra-curricular activities from the very beginning.Whatever they can,they have done.But definitely i would like to request all parents that at least provide your daughter quality education and see the change around you and in her life.Really proud of my parents.

Vehemence is important,but is it enough? Need of the hour is to be Vanguards. Purge off our incorrigible attitude and offer autonomy to women more than protection. Our small efforts may not make bad good but it will certainly ameliorate the situation. It is the people that have made freedom for women esoteric. So it has to be the people who will make it common. Our youths and media can start a movement to abolish dowry system. In this movement peoples of India under the leadership of PM Sir can fight against dowry system. Without a social movement dowry system cannot be abolished.

Education for girl child should be made free till class 12.more than any other kind of reservation-girl child needs to be taken care of for long term well being of society. The govt can look at funding of this by introducing a nominal monthly contribution of INR 10.00(ten only) by all individuals earning more than INR 10k (ten thousand) per month-in public or private sector. Secondly at a block level NGOs should be encouraged to teach girl child-with self defence and life values being manadate

The biggest hurdle in changing mindset of people is the notion that daughter means liability and son means asset. This comes from the dowry system. In spite of the law which is on paper only, the dowry is just increasing, sometimes changing forms. Unless people stop demanding dowry there will remain a big question mark on "beti bachao". One way to change this mindset would be social acceptance of daughters refusing to marry those who demand dowry.
