The Ministry is seeking suggestions/ ideas/ inputs on the modalities of  celebrating the village formation day, either on a particular date, or a day of choice based on some historical reasons or on April 24, the Panchayati Raj Day.

Individual queries series of questions seeking inputs on the following aspects of the village formation day would be posed to the citizens:

i.    How the village formation day may be identified by each village i.e. either on a particular date, or a day of choice based on some historical reasons or on April 24, the Panchayati Raj Day?

ii.    What all activities could be undertaken for celebrating the village formation day?

iii.    In what ways could the villagers be involved with the celebration of the village formation day?

iv.    What could be the funding source(s) for the celebrating the village formation day?

v.    What resolve by villagers/Gram Panchayat,  Goal setting for next year/five years towards improving quality of life parameters (like safe drinking water, open defecation free village, solid and liquid waste management, reduction in infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate, etc.)
could be incorporated in the village formation day?

vi.    What could be the basis of the preparation of the roll of honour of individuals?

vii.    What kind of awards honouring the people who have done exceptional work could be instituted during the village formation day?

Dear Modi ji..... main apko batana chahta hu ki hamare yaha hospital ki safai vyabastha kharab h.. Doctor hospital m kam aur ghar p mareejo ko paise lekar dekhte h ... daily pedo ko kat dete h.. pani ki vyabastha kharab h... ek aadmi ne pyauu lagai to usme se sarkari karmchari lakdiya le gaye ... aur yaha tak ki market m ek bhi govt. water hut ki vyavastha nahi h... main market gandgagi se bhara rehta h...... aur koi sunta tak nahi h .... apse request h ki aap meri baton pe gaaur dale...

politician at local village panchayat has good knowledge about govts. policies and sound affection related to its. its enough to build new India. applied purposes,

And above all..accountability over bureaucracy and political leaders should be strictly monitored as every idea is just an idea on paper if these things are not taken care of properly.

Mass mobilisation through basic amenities and a little say in polity looks out to be a healthy idea. in this context..jandhan yojna, swachha bharat aandolan, skill develpment prog, financial inclusion, rashtriya krishi vikas yojna, indira aawas yojna, ..appear nice. so emphasis should be on their effective implementation.

The very fundamental needs should be prioritised.food, clothing and shelter..it can play a good role. But it should not be done blindly as it leaves masses solely reliant on state and makes them unproductive. Rather it should be tried to be given in form of remuneration.For this we need public participation in state's affairs. so the basics has again reached the same place...faith in the system. hence this process should be tender not radical.

The effective implementation of 73rd and 74th constitutional amendment can produce wonders for our country.A proper regulatory framework with decent accountability in this context will mobilise rural masses towards state and will thereby instill faith inside them.This faith can be channelised productively then towards nation's prosperity.

Formation produces a new entity and entity has an identification which defines its existence.so if we create something new, unless we render it an identity, the creation becomes futile. in my opinion the rural strata of India is missing a 'say' in contemporary polity and this violates the very idea of democracy. People in this case can't associate themselves with state and consequently their productivity is an underutilised asset for the Govt..

Panchayat play an important role in the village development. So, more freedom must be given. The District commissioner must check on Panchayat work on monthly basis visit to a village.
