The Ministry is seeking suggestions/ ideas/ inputs on the modalities of celebrating the village formation day, either on a particular date, or a day of choice based on some historical reasons or on April 24, the Panchayati Raj Day.

Individual queries series of questions seeking inputs on the following aspects of the village formation day would be posed to the citizens:

i. How the village formation day may be identified by each village i.e. either on a particular date, or a day of choice based on some historical reasons or on April 24, the Panchayati Raj Day?

ii. What all activities could be undertaken for celebrating the village formation day?

iii. In what ways could the villagers be involved with the celebration of the village formation day?

iv. What could be the funding source(s) for the celebrating the village formation day?

v. What resolve by villagers/Gram Panchayat, Goal setting for next year/five years towards improving quality of life parameters (like safe drinking water, open defecation free village, solid and liquid waste management, reduction in infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate, etc.)
could be incorporated in the village formation day?

vi. What could be the basis of the preparation of the roll of honour of individuals?

vii. What kind of awards honouring the people who have done exceptional work could be instituted during the village formation day?

On VFD, a one - two page revenue/expense audit prepared by panchayat needs to be displayed on notice board. This needs to be sent to collector and ministry or rural affairs. Idea is: What gets tracked, gets done. The one page audit should also be available on internet for any concerned citizen. Prepare a video library of good practices on multiple topics. Villagers can select topics which interest them, say agriculture or fisheries etc. and prepare a game plan with help of a itemized checklist.

My Gram Sabha received central as well state govt schemes worth Rs.12 lakhs during 2007-12. I personally gone in ground n inquired about the job done n found nothing but a simple and single answer from authority that all infrastructure made during the period is washed off during monsoon, hence nothing is left on ground. Even i did not found more than Rs 3000/- in post office passbooks of all households. Now, each one of you can easily understand where that money would have been gone.

Regarding development of village, there are so many schemes from central as well state are running, even after that the villages are still poorest economically. I experinced that it is because of poor implementation as well less awareness of the scheme to the beneficiaries. There is poor feedback system and fixing of responsibility as well. If govt sends a scheme to the target area at least there should be proper feedback and responsibility of an authority to fixed and he should be answerable.

sir, several schemes of central and state govt. are being implemented through gram panchayat. One being distributing money to relief of people affected by natural disaster. what happens here is cheques are being issued by panchayat on the name of the particular person or bearer. Here there is a chance the money does not reach the intended person and being encashed by somebody else. because banks are bound to give money to the person whose name is written on the cheque or to any bearer of the instrument. Hence my humble suggestion is only account payee crossed cheques must be issued so that the money reaches the hands of the authentic person. For this central govt. may pass a order to all its departments and all state govt to issue only account payee cheques with a clause that the defaulting officials will be severally punished. This will help in leakage of govt funds and increase transparency in gram panchayat works.

Dear PM ji, Single level platform for Ecomnomic development at all Grampanchayats,we can develop proper plan to grampanchayat will have every 5000 or more population contain one unit of Common Service Centers(CSC),for example 2 or more grampanchayats have 5000 population will be established as a one CSC at majar grampanchayat. I was implementing project report(SRS) of Grampanchayat Database Information System in PPP(public private partnership) method on sharing with State and CentralGovernments

pleased have focus on Nadi Sajogikaran yojana one sadak sanjogikaran was worked out by honble. Sri A.B.Vajpeyi this is pending from a long back so nadi sanjogikaran should be done at the earliest to conserve waterlevel , transportation , avoiding flood etc. also it will give a chance to the unemloyeds a good employment

Common minimum program ke antargat ek khaas jansakhya nirdharit kar jaise 5000 ya 3500 jansakhya waley abadi me kaam ho.jaise common minimum program me agar 10 kamo ki yogna hai-jaise swatch jal,aspatal,school,shauchalaye,t.o.p,kanuni salah kendra,angan bari,khadya bhandar ghar,apda kendra,bal vikas kendra, ityadi aise kai kaam hai jise common minnimum program ke tahat kiya ja sakta hai.adarsh gram aur saksham gram dono sath chalaya jaye.

Gram Sabha me jo bhi work hota hai use sirf Gram Pradhan aur secretary mil karke karte hai jabki Panchayti Raj me bayawastha hai ki Gram Sabha me aam baithak karke open agenda aaye aur uspar discuss karke prathmikta ke adhar par work kiya jaye. Mera nivedan hai ki panchayti bayawastha ke anusar gaun ki khuli baithak me agenda par discuss karke work karaya jaye. Jisase Gram sabha me kitna dhan aaya aur kiss mad me kharch ho rha hai ye gram vasiyo ki janakari me rahe jissase curreption ruke
