The Government of India has been formulating National Housing Policies to provide guidance to the State Governments to meet the growing housing shortage. The first every Housing Policy was announced in May, 1988. The National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy (NUHHP), 2007 is currently under force. A copy of the same is available at http://mhupa.gov.in/policies/duepa/HousingPolicy.2007.pdf. It is desired that the existing policy be revised to reflect the changes in the past years and taking forward the objective of “Housing for All” by 2022.

In this regard inputs are elicited for new “National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy, 2015” on the following:

1. What should be the role of Government of India in promoting “Housing for All” by 2022?
2. What should the State Governments do in achieving the said objective?
3. What should be the role of ULBS’s?
4. What role can the State Housing Boards/Corporations and other state entities play in this objective?
5. What are the key learnings from Urban Local Bodies in implementation of housing programmes?
6. What role can the private sector play in “Housing for All” by 2022?
7. What is the role of industries?
8. What should be the role of individual?
9. How to mobilize financial resources for this objective?
10. What kind of legal and regulatory frameworks are required to facilitate housing in general and “Housing for All” in particular?
11. How can more urban land be made available for housing?
12. How can linkage between employment/livelihood and housing be made more robust?
13. How to promote new building technologies for faster, robust, sustainable and environment friendly homes especially mass housing?

If we really want to develop smart cities in order to grow agriculture as well all we need to do is to relocate the cities in arid zones; planned development of townships, roadways, reclaim the agricultural land being occupied by today's cities. We need to be strict the way China is if we really want to develop our country

national urban housing mission /policy should be framed after the through examination of all the angles involved in it.here are some suggestions which can be look into. 1.identy land which is cheap and unproductive at every district and village level 2.prepare the 50 realstate and infr company to develop the land and housing project3reduce registration and stamp duty charges 4.make three home loan intrest rates i.e. 4%,6%,8% FOR DIFFERENT INCOME GROUPS 5.FOR POOR AND JHUGGI PEOPLE MAKE ONE bhk APPARTMENTS AT THE SAME PLACE OR NEARBY OR AT SUITABLE PLACE LOW COST HOUSIG .GIVE SOME SUBSIDY OR INTEREST FREE LOAN TO THEM. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SOLD THE UNIT BEFORE 20 YEARS.

as an citizen of this country, we do understand our responsibilities. We don't want free homes from Govt. else help citizens in different ways to buy their dream home. make entire housing loan interest as tax free, at least for 1st home.

Make Housing affordable. Govt should regulate the house or flat prices basad on the categories. Govt should understand that as a citizen we want affordable homes not free. govt should have strong team to handle illigal construction and deviations

For any township in a city key plan and construction of project must be monitored by government / or any good agency in proper way.price of any flat must be check and verified by agency. Proper monitoring of developer is very important .

Build an house with themocol wall & ceilings with one amp & two amps dc appliances and solar panals with batteries , total cost of ownership is cheaper and faster to build , proto type is available , can be shown in chennai

swach bharat program is not running properly so to run it properly please ask colleges and schools to promote the concept of swach bharat program by conducting activities on sunday at their surroning villages
