The NITI Aayog-led Shoonya campaign, in partnership with MyGov India, is thrilled to announce the electric vehicles Townhall, an open discussion platform for citizens to share valuable ideas and suggestions to promote and enhance the clean electric mobility ecosystem in India. The Townhall focuses on electric vehicles (EVs) and their associated advantages, including cost savings, clean air, health benefits, and emission reduction.

In line with this initiative, NITI Aayog in collaboration with MyGov, invites input from citizens.

not seen 1 paper on how life cycle of EV would be managed. How safe and quick is EV disposals reuse, recycle. As it is there r fires galore at police stations of confiscated vehicles - No takers for scrap ? & most individual houses , public places have old vehicles parked , what to say even buses, train coaches -No thought here and hence sure maibaaps and 0/100 toppers would not know of it. Look at plastic, pesticides , eating meat, power plants -they were inventions/idea of the century benefitting mankind but now world says they are the worst polluters and offenders. every activists out there blocking or derailing them and all from Hindu$durgabaapkamaal being used to fund these. Mukh mein ram bagal mein churi the panchtantra monkey eating off both hands & thenga to ordinary hindus. any technology being used must have the full product /life cycle. Regular R&D to make it more affordable easy to use long life. US/UK /EU folks designing frugality no more shaming frugal hindus.

Expand the public charging network: Public charging stations can be installed in strategic locations such as parking lots, shopping malls, hotels, airports, and other places where people spend time. This can increase the availability and visibility of charging options for EV drivers. Promote workplace and residential charging: Workplace and residential charging can provide convenient and low-cost charging opportunities for EV drivers, especially those who do not have access to home charging. Employers and building owners can offer incentives and subsidies to encourage the installation and use of chargers at work and home. Support interoperability and standardization: Interoperability and standardization can reduce the complexity and confusion of using different charging stations and payment methods. EV drivers should be able to access any charging station with a common plug and a universal payment system, regardless of the operator or network. Leverage smart charging and grid int

Additions: 5) Charging stations in busy places can be implemented by identifying nearby easily accessible establishments, land owners with ample parking space and provide them commission, freebies, contract etc. 6) Using the grid collected electricity to power up specialised electric routes. Using proper R&D in electromagnetics, Compatible public transport in that route etc. 7) R&D in induction based vehicles and material science, nanoelectronics can provide an add-on module like transciever to power up vehicles. 8) Better supercapacitor or similar technologies to be implemented. 9) One India digital recharge card may be introduced for payment to all modes of transport, etc. rooftop owners can be agents. Or opt for digital card only. 10) Incentives and taxfree options are the key in the beginning. The scheme will be in line with our vision of 'Sabka Vikas'. 11) Standardisation of charging sockets, adding smart features, protection. 12) Provide dynamic offers according to grid.

About EV charging infrastructure & accessibility: 1) We need an eco friendly source. Using higher efficiency solar panels are the key and we need a periodic upgradation and recycling scheme to better panels, as progress in material science R&D will obviously lead to boosted efficiency in future. 2)Propose a Govt-Private-People model. Here, Govt incentives and investments helps efficient private players to build EV infrastructure at surveyed places,as well as Rooftop solar systems. Here comes the role of citizens having space to install - To become business partners, by just entering into a contract with Govt and private player. They just need to provide space and even get a free residential charging outlet, free units etc. Give them power to sell electricity to grid at a fixed higher than residential rate. Then private players sell at standard higher price. 3) Promotion through local self govt bodies such as panchayats. 4) Standardization of payment with one India one grid support.

According to research, EVs generate considerably lower emissions over their lifetime than conventional (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles. – Where electricity generation is coal-intensive, the benefits of EVs are less but not less but still significant.

using EV vehicles is very good to build environment free india and my suggestion is people should use public transportation more then no.of vehicles can reduce government should not allow to use more than 2 vehicles for 1 family so that we can reduce more pollution Government should provide charging points for every 3km radius to use public transport government should reduce transport charges .Government should create awareness among rural areas about Electric vehicles
