Bhopal has been shortlisted as an aspirant in the smart cities challenge by Ministry of Urban Development. The state is preparing a Smart City Proposal (SCP) that will include smart city solutions and an outline of the consultations held with the city residents and other stakeholders. Municipal Corporation of Bhopal hereby invites suggestions from citizens of Bhopal for making ‘Bhopal a smart city’. The residents may post their view pertaining to municipal and city services such as water supply, electricity supply, transport, health and educational facilities and city surveillance among others. Residents are encouraged to write the pain areas of the city as well as improvements they’d like to see for making Bhopal a model smart city.

Starting with make a proper arrangements of people's basic needs like transportation, roads,garbage,water supply,electricity, protection etc that things r very important

The slum areas and old unhygienic impoverished colonies be demolished and a park be made in the major part of the area with flats for the affected families. The minimum area to live a decent social life be also kept in mind.

पुराने शहर में जिले के कई शासकीय़ कार्यालय़ ऐसे है जहां लोगों की आवाजाही कुछ ज्य़ादा रहती है,लेकिन वहां विघुत व्य़वस्था की लाइनो को देखा जाए तो गंभीरता पर सवालिय़ा निशान लगते है। शहर के जिला अस्पताल आदि ऐसे कार्य़ालय़ है जहां बिजली के तार कई जगह लटकते हुए दिखाई देते है,जहा तक की सङको पर भी बिजली के तार लटकते है कई जगह वायरिंग बदलवाने की भी आवश्यकता है ऐसी जगह पर भूमीगत बिजली के तार होने चाहिए।

21) भोपाल मे वाटर सप्लाई की व्य्वस्था में सुधार कर स्वच्छ पेयजल वितरण कि व्यवस्था होना चाहिये

There are several areas in the city, especially the old outer areas now in the city under Nagar Nigam, where there are no roads. All such areas be identified and new form of roads be laid where the road has better capacity to withstand the scorching heat and absorb the rain water and drain it to a specific location

culture and heritage: The renovation, repair and painting of the heritage building should be done. These should be kept clean and have a park attached to it so that tourists can relax and enjoy the beauty of these monuments. A heritage map be made connecting these heritage buildings and the mode of transport to conveniently reach those spots.

use of renewable and solar energy: all street lights should be solar energy enabled. All the high rise buildings should have solar panel installed at top of their roofs to keep them and the city bright in the night.
