Since the new city is built from scratch, we can really achieve some ground breaking initiatives for traffic/reducing pollution 1. Build “Bus-only” lanes for all arterial roads. That lane can be used for pooled cars also.. Similar to HOV lanes in USA. 2. Provide Bicycle rentals across the city. 3. Provide ample public transportation hubs.. Encourage buildings with no parking space

Now NMMC has constructed the concrete roads in MIDC area. Now the roads are in very good condition so it is proposed to provide cycles on rent basis from railway station viz. Rabale, Koparkhiarane, Ghansoli, Turbhe, Juinagar to reach to working places/factories in MIDC area. Also provide cycle shops in MIDC area for return of cycles to shop holders on deposit basis.

There is one lacuna at the time of planning of City by CIDCO that the Public coming out from the railway stations are walking/crossing the roads particularly high ways. For eg.Vashi, Sanpada, Juinagar, CBD stations. The public coming out of these stations cross the highway and it becomes accident prune zone. Hence it is required to provide and construct subways so that public coming out of these stations can directly reach to the city area.

Efforts should be made for protection & preservation of Environment by imposing stringent conditions while developing infrastructure and government should encouraged such efforts by offering special incentives or rewards so that people would take initiative in making our environment pollution free.

Recover the foot paths from the encroachment & street shops. The foot paths are made for pedestrians not as marketplace & huts.
