Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is making all efforts to make citizens comfortable by giving them all infrastructure available to them. The Achievements of NMMC as known to citizens are mentioned below:

• High per capita income and cosmopolitan population
• Higher Education Institutes- Engineering, Management and Medical
• Major industrial area across Thane Belapur Road
• Biggest trading APMC
• Part of Proposed Knowledge Corridor
• Two big Infotech parks and presence of major players in these parks and outside
• Planned Urban Development
• Picturesque coastal area and very green Parsik hill
• Local dialling with the commercial capital

The objective of the consultations with the Citizens of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is to motivate the people to get involved in the process of development of city into SMART CITY taking advantage of above schemes & to know the views and concerns of the stakeholders about the city. Their views and suggestions will have major contribution in formulating the vision for the city. This is an effort to connect YOU as a citizen to your local Government.

Your responses shall help us incorporate your inputs and emerge as a winner in the list of 10 cities that will undertake the smart city journey from Government of Maharashtra. Ideas are sought related to smart governance, smart information, smart citizens, smart mobility, smart energy etc. which are ecologically friendly, technologically integrated and meticulously planned with a particular reliance on the use of information technology to improve efficiency.

There should be good facilities of public health care in navi mumbai. Like primary health care clinics and good goverment hospitals having latest medical equipments and medicines. Also there should be hitech dignostic centers providing services for a serious health issues.

Most services needs to be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) enabled, which shall be helpful in reducing the need for travel.Like online utility bill payments,online ticket booking etc.are very powerful ways of reducing the need for travel thereby reducing congestion, pollutants and energy use.

The solution shall be worked out to avoid the traffic congestion at bus depot at CBD station,CIDCO bhavan and CBD circle,entire traffic from Palm Beach road and Sion panvel highway meets at this point.

To make not only Navi Mumbai but the entire Nation CLEAN ! Using electronic tools (camera etc), catch those who violate traffic rules and fine them mercilessly.

NMMC has several engineering and management institutes. The budding engineers and managers should be involved in the process of smart city initiatives. A competition of these professional students may throw up interesting ideas for smart concepts among the youth.

Hello NMMC, I got to know that you are trying to reach the citizens of NMMC to get ideas about making Navi Mumbai a SMART City. Here is my vision for a SMART CITY S = Social balance M = Maintain & improve infrastructure A = Affordable housing for all R = Reasonable amenities T = Tree plantations & greenery around N = Neat & very clean E = Energy efficient & environment friendly S = Structured development S = Sustain the smartness If done, I would say u have done your best

Firstly, add the nodes of Navi Mumbai must be inducted under NMMC. The Cidco controlled nodes could not be kept in dark. The citizens of these nodes also should be given the opportunity to participate in this initiative. Face the political opposition bravely and try to induct the Cidco administered nodes under NMMC as soon as possible inorder to achieve sustained development of Navi Mumbai in its entirety.
