Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is making all efforts to make citizens comfortable by giving them all infrastructure available to them. The Achievements of NMMC as known to citizens are mentioned below:

• High per capita income and cosmopolitan population
• Higher Education Institutes- Engineering, Management and Medical
• Major industrial area across Thane Belapur Road
• Biggest trading APMC
• Part of Proposed Knowledge Corridor
• Two big Infotech parks and presence of major players in these parks and outside
• Planned Urban Development
• Picturesque coastal area and very green Parsik hill
• Local dialling with the commercial capital

The objective of the consultations with the Citizens of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is to motivate the people to get involved in the process of development of city into SMART CITY taking advantage of above schemes & to know the views and concerns of the stakeholders about the city. Their views and suggestions will have major contribution in formulating the vision for the city. This is an effort to connect YOU as a citizen to your local Government.

Your responses shall help us incorporate your inputs and emerge as a winner in the list of 10 cities that will undertake the smart city journey from Government of Maharashtra. Ideas are sought related to smart governance, smart information, smart citizens, smart mobility, smart energy etc. which are ecologically friendly, technologically integrated and meticulously planned with a particular reliance on the use of information technology to improve efficiency.

As a citizen of Navi Mumbai and an Urban Planner my suggestions are; 1Create a one click common application platform to integrate various departmental services(Inter and Intra)- NMMC, CIDCO, Railways, MIDC, Electricity forms, payments, RTI queries. 2Share a common vision for the city like ACCIDENT FREE NM,3Mini Seashore & open spaces, create a mangrove park like Singapore, 4Make Sec 17 & 9A 'NO CAR ZONE' with resident stickers also all NODES, promote pedestrian business hours during peak hours.

In respect to smart city concept,business,economic,infrastructure development are OK, but, the real development of social harmony,human development,cultural development, etc.things are very important for peace,harmony and fruitfull helping nature of people.For that,there should be YOGA,SPIRITUAL,PRAYER CENTRE in CITY.There should be no crime & no accused,Jail should be paid & luxurious with all accommodation like AC,bed-sofa,pure bhojan-breakfast,TV but no mobile-net as per jail manual strictly

Construction permits is a big issue in Navi Mumbai. Many good buildings cannot be completed because of absence of permissions. There is an urgent need to have a single window system for central state and local bodies permits. Water and mosquitoes are also persistent and ever growing issues which needs to be addressed urgently.

In respect to smart city, people safety and security specially to woman should be given high priority.CCTV camara should be fixed at all the points from entrance of city to exit of city, which should be constantly monitored. smart city should be trade,sercives and business oriented, NO industries which make pollution, should be sanctioned within the limit of 25 kms of the city. The city should be completely with trees and plants,it should be pollution free, The people should feel like heaven

See is believing- I suggest we mount WIFI cameras on all the govt owned transport vechiles (buses / trucks / vans / 2 wheelers ) and connect them to various depts of public health / police / transport / roads / garbage clearance and many more ,these cameras will give live feed of the quality of roads / movement of vechiles / traffic violations/ garbage on streets / illegal hoardings / misuse of power for political rallies / road side tree cuttings / public behaviour in bus stands and many more

Mumbai can be the most important part of growth of India's economy if fund and human resources are judiciously used. Natural resources like the solar or water resources can be used. Proper waste management can bring an evolution in the state's economy. As Mumbai lies in the coastal region the overseas import and export can be checked here. Today, one of the major concern of the country is Women Security and Women Empowerment. There should be more measures towards achieving this goal.

All facilities like water,electricity,road,drainage,health,education,business facilities,shopping mall,tele-eloctronic facilities,internet-wifi,Garden, theator,temple for all religion,hotel,railway,metro,transportation,latest infrastructure,all types of plays-grounds,clubs,all types of entertainment faci., etc,are unlimited,clean,dust-free,advance with high technology with online digital facilities for all types of services,There should be no deficit of any goods,items or services to people

The city of Navi Mumbai requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development

1. Having a coastal from from Vashi to Airoli. 2. Extension of Metro from Kanjurmarg to Navi Mumbai (Mahape). 3. The nuisance of toll should stop. 4. A bridge connecting Kanjurmarg to Navi Mumbai. 5. Develop the hills into outing activity like cycling, trekking etc. 6. The Chemical factories need to go out of city limits.
