I prefer environmentally friendly Navi Mumbai. As Navi Mumbai has one side as a creek with Bio-diversity. Mangroves along the creek are home for lots of bird species. Lots of birds migrates from various areas from world to these mangroves along creeks we must preserve this and must develop these area as tourist places

Evacuation in case of emergency We have many MIDCs in Navi Mumbai having numerous factories. Mishap may happen in any of those. We should install sensors in different areas which can detect crossing of threshold in terms of harmful gases, heat intensity. This will trigger hooters installed in those areas so that people in those areas can rush out as early as possible. The sensors can also be used for detecting discharge of harmful gases, which factories do at odd hours to avoid detection.

Public transport. We can have GPS system installed in all AC buses, to start with. And an mobile app which will help the passengers tracking the buses they are looking for thus saving their precious time. We can also identify potentially profitable routes based on the number of cars travelling on that route. Example-Panvel to BKC via Mankhurd and SCLR. From Panvel to Mankhurd, it should follow only the Panvel-Sion route and not enter the nodes. Similarly Panvel to Nariman Point via Freeway.

The street lights are now operated on time basis. Instead, we can have a system wherein the street lights are operated based on the intensity of sunlight in that area. Whenever the intensity goes below a minimum level the street lights will automatically switch on and when it crosses a maximum level these will automatically switch off. In addition to that if we can install sensors with each of the light poles, it will help central monitoring of working of each light.

The traffic rules and regulations should be made strict. Like in European countries, the vehicles shall follow designated lane so that the traffic looks disciplined and chaos free. Navi Mumbai shall be the first Indian city to adopt this and that will set an example of how Navi Mumbai is different from rest of India.
