Technology is the key driver for banking which helps understand the customer better through data analytics and in order to make financial inclusion a lot more viable for banks, changes in laws and policies are required to recover various costs for mitigating risks in the long term. The banks have to restructure their assets by diversifying with respect to product line.Issues in rural banking like formal KYC's and costly mode of remittances need to be balanced with direct benefit transfer.

With regard to this scheme, one day, I went to a SBI branch near my workplace with a colleague. She wants to open an account there and she had Aadhar card (xerox also) with her. But the staff there refused to open account by saying "go to your local Branch, address mentioned in the Aadhar card".
She belongs to poor family and her father is a farmer in village.
Now a day, people live elsewhere as his/her domicile. Do something to this.

Banks should collaborrate with one of the largest postal networks in the world to provide last mile delivery service to the customer. Postmen can easily double up as bank correspondents with very little training since they already deliver money orders and collect payments for COD items. This will also provided additional income to them. Post offices could also act as deposit collection centers and even provide safe deposit box services wherever possible.

Respected PM, No dought this is a very good scheme for financial inclusion and every household shud be part of the banking system. However we are seeing extra stress on the banks owing to congested spaces and lack of adequate staff in branches. This entails long ques for even simple banking operations. Most of the PSB's are understaffed leaving the young skeletal staff to take decisions. We need to staff the banks so that, service being the motto and both security of clients is not compromised

If you really want to make it an inclusive, you must include everybody. Govt. agencies (Banks/Post offices) have failed time and again, and would fail you this time as well. The solution lies in Walk the Talk. You talk about youth power and its expertise (Technology), the solution lies is engaging it. How to do that can't be described in 500 Words. The solution/idea is techno savvy youth, working with a spirit and motivation to make it successful. And there is no other way also.

If a chaiwala does not know, why a scheme is not successful, he is lying. It seems, he is deliberately or under compulsion is not in a position to act. And is serving some other vested interests. Other side of the story, is that, he knows well, what needs to be done, but is probably helpless. Then inviting suggestions, is just to empty the discontent and anger in the society. All this means, is just a eye wash and there is no real changes. Change is in terms of false propaganda/publicity only.
