India needs 4 big banks. There is no point in having 20 odd small psu banks. Please initiate merger of psu banks at the earliest. Many staff would be retiring in the next 3 years and this is opportune time for branch rationalization.

In fact I was part of the Rural Banking Implementations and we could enable the people who had never seen computers to start using it .. my only observation is People in India are fighters , can learn but the biggest hindrance we have is causal attitude , no accountability etc . public sector banks have improved tremendously but still there is scope. they have advantage , and should exploit to max. respond quickly, effectively, responsibly to public complaints ,at local level. give complete scope for that, be transparent.psb are more humane than pvt.

1.More focus on online transactions needed with data security. 2.Customers should be allowed to use any banks's ATM for transaction without charges. 3.We should have Healthcare ATMs too which would help customers in healthcare insurance and medical report collection facility. 4.Banks should improve infrastructure where there should be facility for sitting arrangements with faster deposit facility which would help not to make queue 5.ATMs should also deposit money by cash counter machine.

The employees of PSU banks who work are lifeline These days youngsters are coming to shoulder the bank business who have high expectations in terms of salary as compared to other govt sectors. In order to improve the growth of bank they must be paid as per the central pay commission.Just apply it and see the magic. Apply CPC, merge all PSU banks to single fully govt owned Bank this will boost the size and growth, Reduce competition, separate bank branches in two services and business development

Continued.... Sir bankers are working hard to fulfill gov requirement as well satisfying the Customer. There is no issue in working hard or harder but environment should be supportive. Bankeres hardly heard or get support from exacutive. Some Bankers are living in extreme rural area with no basic facilities, Gov/ IBA should take responsibility to provide the basic facility as a whole to bankers not to individual bank. Like central school there should be bankers school and hospitals.

For better performance in PSU. Govt must under stood the human resource problem like salaries, social life, bank working culture, etc because banking service is social service as compare to business service. Today banking sector staff strength is less compare to others. In a very short notice of respected PM bank employee open a large no of PMJDY a/c in all over India. It a great job done by bankers. Today bank working function reforms is required. We have a digram for banking.

THE WORK LOAD IS MORE SINCE THEY ENJOY SO MANY HOLIDAYS. WHEN ALL OTHERS ARE WORKING THEY ARE CLOSED AND IT INCREASES WORK ON WORKING DAYS AND THE DELIVERY OF EFFICIENCY IS POOR. REDUCE THE NO OF HOLIDAYS AND THINGS WILL IMPROVE. EXACT WORKING HAS TO BE DONE FOR GIVING GOOD SERVICE BY WAY OF INCREASE OF STAFF ETC. ONCE SERVICE IMPROVES THE PROFITS WILL IMPROVE.
