Several schemes of students financial assistance are being implemented at Central and State levels. Have they really served the intended objectives? Some critical views are invited on the existing schemes and what changes will improve the quality of financial support systems for our students so that every aspiring learner can enter here.

Books and copies and dress are provided to weeker section, but not to poor upper caste people. Why? We request the finance minister to start this for poor upper caste people and minorities.

All students should get financial assistance on the basis of poverty / non-creamy layers. Upper caste students and minorityies should get the same benefit as SC/ ST are getting.

What is the meaning of our / your education if your heart does not bleed at the sight of plight of the poor? What is the meaning of education if your lung does not breathe for the handicapped child snatching leftouts from the dust bin in front of star hotels? And what is the value of your education if your brain does not think for solving these burning inequality and hunger in our country?

The financial support which the students receive from both central and state level is not truly reaching them. The Govt need to create bank accounts for the students and drop the financial support every month to their accounts so that the amt directly reaches the child.

Make it quality of education to all children along with their knowledge & skill is useful in public, what they learn in school. Encourage of committed & good teachers to develop children in public schools and colleges.

Make it mandatory for all educational institutions to have at least one counsellor for counselling students and providing them with psychological support.
