The importance of nature and animals has been a part of Indian culture & traditions for centuries. The 'Action Plan for Introduction of Cheetah in India’ - a landmark initiative to bring back Cheetahs into our ecosystem, echoes this ethos of respect for animals.

PM Narendra Modi in Mann Ki Baat urged citizens to participate in discussions regarding the importance of treating animals well. Please share your thoughts and ideas on the same.

Treating animals well is the sign of kindness !! Animals do have emotions and react to our behaviour so the way we will treat them will be the deciding factor of relationship between us and animals.Treating everyone with kindness has always been on Indian tradition and culture as we have read many mythological tales like the cats elopement,Kissa the cat etc stating animals as precious elements of ecology and life without them is completely impossible!We should value what we have!

Animals have been created to give us company and support they are here to cheer us when we look at them they are the most beautiful creation which makes our earth beautiful. Their extinction means a great loss of mankind therefore we need to treat them well for us to survive.

Sir, As far as my knowledge, any living creatures other than humans have an appetite for food for survival n nothing more. They fight for its food. They do not really rule the area, but due to its strength n size, we have an apprehension in the matter. I believe generally they do not harm humans. Let's love all living creatures like animals, birds etc. At the same time let's love all humans across the globe. With respects sir.
