Animal welfare is important to meat production because poor animal welfare is associated with poor animal production of health, and because consumers' concerns may influence market access. Throughout the world , animal welfare is the topic of legislation, retailer standards, and codes of practice.

In India for ages many animals hvbeen domesticated & are taken good care of as a family member because they are good source of animal based food & income. I still remember my Nanaji taking care of his cows like his family & once they died, they were given proper burial rites like we would give a human in Sanatan Dharam after their death & also followed the 13 days rituals. We need to break from PETA's or western version of mishandling or inhumane handling of animals, and restart with these services of animal based business like ghoda gadi etc BUT with very strict admin rules. Because in todays time if people don't have time and money for their own family talking about showering love for animal is only limited for dogs and cats. Also we should have proper courses on vets and zoo keepers like they have in western countries. Having animal, birds, fish interactive establishments like that of Santosha Singapore will increase tourism immensely in India.

Nature’s every component has its own importance and so the animals have, their existence is important for maintaining a symbiotic environment. Animals play different roles , some act as commensals , some are predators while some are in mutual relation with other species, which is very important for BALANCE. Humans depend on animals for various needs as well. But just utilising animals for our own advantage, will disturb the balance of our ecosystem which would make human survival difficult. Little efforts like creating an environment fit for survival of animals and allowing them to flourish, would maintain balance, which is of real importance.

In the smooth running of our world, the contributions which animals make are enormous. Animals play a significant role in the stability of the environment, ecosystem, and our lives. They are excellent companions—especially the tiny mammals. The importance of animals cannot be stressed enough. Without them, our existence is not possible.

Cheetahs traveling from Namibia to India should have some Namibian-like environment, so that they can be adapted to life in India. Apart from this, cheetahs hunt in the morning, and their prey is in the water.
